SATA 2023 Southeastern Meeting

Learning objectives:

  • Discuss heart failure and vasoplegia associated with liver transplant
  • Discuss ethical issues and outcomes associated with new organ preservation modalities
  • Evaluate pain management strategies following liver transplantation
  • Describe the use of intraoperative heparin during liver transplantation
  • Discuss intraoperative management strategies for lung transplantation
  • Discuss the use of TEE in the perioperative care of transplant recipients
  • Evaluate how to care for patients undergoing combined heart-kidney transplantation
  1. This activity will help improve perioperative management of patients undergoing abdominal and thoracic transplantation.
  2. Our hope is that attendees will be able to bring useful information learned at our conference back to share with their multidisciplinary team managing transplant patients.

 

Target audience:

Transplant Anesthesiologists, Intensivists, Transplant Surgeons, Residents, Fellows, and Medical Students.
