SATA REGIONAL DMV-P ANNUAL MEETING 2025

Learning objectives:
At the end of this session participants will be able to:
1. Describe contemporary approach to management of patients with alcoholic liver disease.
2. Discuss xenotransplantation as a novel approach to optimize organ supply.
3. Optimize intraoperative management of patients undergoing transplantation.
4. Develop systematic approach to using extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) in
managing patients undergoing lung transplantation.
5. Evaluate the role of albumin administration in patients with end-stage organ disease.
6. Discuss challenges presenting to transplant anesthesiologist during complex cases.

Target audience:
Anesthesiologists, Intensivists, Surgeons, Hepatologists, Cardiologists, Fellows, Resident, Medical
Students, Nurse anesthetists, Advanced Practice Nurses, Anesthesiologist Assistants, Physician
Assistants, and Nursing staff who are involved in the perioperative care of transplant patients.
